About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the Caravan team (“Caravan”, “we”). By creating an account, joining a trip or otherwise using Caravan, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Caravan.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data, and our Cookie Policy explains the cookies we use.

Who can use Caravan

• You must be 18 or older.
• Your account is for you alone. Don’t share it or create one for someone else.
• Give accurate details, keep your password safe, and tell us at support@trycaravan.io if you think someone else is using your account.

What Caravan does, and what it doesn’t

Caravan helps a group plan a trip together: invite friends, share preferences, find ideas, compare flights and stays, vote, plan days, and keep track of booking references and shared expenses.

• Caravan isn’t a travel agent, airline, hotel or booking site. We don’t sell, reserve, hold or pay for travel. When you follow a link to a seller, you book with that seller on their terms. Caravan isn’t part of that contract and can’t change, cancel or refund it.
• Prices and details come from other companies. Flight and hotel results come from third-party sources such as Google Flights and Booking.com. They show what a source reported at a point in time, can be wrong or out of date, and may not include taxes or fees. Confirm the final price, availability and terms on the seller’s site before you book.
• Records are yours to keep. Expenses and booking references in Caravan are notes for your group. Logging an expense doesn’t charge or pay anyone.

AI suggestions

Some ideas and day plans are generated by an AI model. They are suggestions, not facts. Check opening hours, prices, routes, safety, visa, health and accessibility information yourself before relying on them.

Price and fair use

Caravan is free during pre-launch. To keep it working for everyone, we set fair-use limits, such as a daily number of new trips, searches and idea runs. If we introduce paid features, we’ll tell you first, and we’ll never charge you without your clear agreement.

Trips and organisers

• The person who starts a trip is its organiser. The organiser can invite and remove people, change the trip, hand it over to someone else and delete it. Deleting a trip removes it for everyone.
• Travellers can leave a trip or archive it for themselves.
• What you add to a trip, such as finds, flights, expenses and booking references, is visible to the people on it. Your private answers aren’t. The Privacy Policy explains who sees what.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add to Caravan. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people on your trip, as far as we need to run Caravan.

You’re responsible for what you add. Don’t add anything unlawful, or other people’s personal details without their permission. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Acceptable use

When you use Caravan, don’t:

• break the law, or harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
• send invitations to people who haven’t agreed to hear from you;
• try to see trips or data you haven’t been given access to;
• probe, scan or test Caravan’s security without our written permission. If you find a vulnerability, please report it to support@trycaravan.io;
• scrape Caravan, access it with automated tools, or get around its limits or security;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer Caravan, except where the law allows it.

Other companies’ services

Caravan shows information from, and links to, other companies’ services. We aren’t responsible for their content, services, prices or terms.

Changes and availability

Caravan is in pre-launch and still changing. We may add, change, pause or stop features. We work to keep Caravan running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Where we can, we’ll give you reasonable notice of major changes.

Ending your use

You can stop using Caravan at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. We’ll tell you why, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it.

Disclaimer

Caravan is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t make promises about it beyond those in these terms, including that information from other companies is accurate or that your travel will go to plan.

Our liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for:

• bookings, payments, cancellations, delays or disputes with sellers;
• losses from relying on third-party prices or information, or on AI suggestions;
• indirect or consequential losses.

As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims about Caravan is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and SGD 100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in Caravan or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Caravan after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, stop using Caravan and delete your account.

General

• These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Caravan.
• If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• We are registering a company to run Caravan. When it exists, these terms transfer to it, and we’ll update this page to name it.
• We may transfer these terms to whoever takes over Caravan. You can’t transfer them without our agreement.
